Girolamo in her studio, Portland ME, February 2024

Jenna T. Girolamo (b. 1998) is a contemporary abstract painter born in Rochester, NY. Since graduating with a BFA in 2020 from Nazareth College, she has been on a journey of rediscovery. Girolamo’s passion lies within her growing knowledge of the spiritual realm and the connection formed with her inner self.

Her work is a relationship with the experimentation of vibrational fields and harmonies, orientation, and the play of unifying or dividing the surface. She addresses the different relationships of balance through a repetitive use of form, color, and action.

Recently in her Graduate studies Girolamo is exploring the notions and challenges of what a painting can be. She is currently engaging the wall, the frame, surface and the space between the viewer.

Today, Jenna Girolamo finds her inspiration within Hilma af Klint, Vivian Suter, Helen Frankenthaler, Nature, the connection with the Universe, the connection with others, and all magical wonders. These discoveries are continued to be explored, embarked on and expanded.

Girolamo is currently attending Maine College of Art and Design as Full Residency starting Summer 2023 to obtain her Masters in Fine Art. Graduating 2025.
