Girolamo in her studio, Portland ME, March 2025

Jenna T. Girolamo (b. 1998) is a contemporary abstract painter born in Rochester, NY. Since graduating with a BFA in 2020 from Nazareth College, she has been on a journey of alignment. Girolamo’s passion lies within her growing knowledge of the spiritual realm and the connection formed with her inner self.

Her work is a relationship with the vibrational fields of the Earth and the connection between self and nature. Through connection, and listening deeply, Girolamo’s work emphasizes balance with the play of dividing the surface. She addresses the relationships of process through a repetitive use of form, color, and action.

Recently, in her Graduate studies, Girolamo is exploring the notion of interpreting the Earth’s rhythm into physical form as a way of intentional healing. This is manifested through the arrival of the geometric structure, cutting the canvas, hand sewing, addition of glass beads and the natural dye processes.

Today, Jenna Girolamo finds her inspiration within Hilma af Klint, Emma Kunz, Vivian Sutter, Helen Frankenthaler, Nature, the connection with the Universe and with others. These discoveries are continued to be explored, embarked on and expanded.

Girolamo is currently attending Maine College of Art and Design as Full Residency starting Summer 2023 to obtain her Masters in Fine Art. Graduating 2025.
